Pollution Control Consultancy and Design (PCCD) provides measurements and assessments of human body, ground and building vibration in terms of:

Australian Standard: Evaluation of human exposure to whole-body vibration - Part 1: General requirements, and Part 2: Continuous and shock-induced vibration in buildings (1 to 80 Hz) - AS 2670.1-2 - 1990;


2.
Environment Protection Authority of New South Wales (EPA) incorporated in New South Wales Department of Environment, Climate Change and Water (DECCW) - Assessing Vibration: a technical guideline (February 2006);


3.
New South Wales State Rail Authority (SRA) / Rail Infrastructure Corporation (RIC) - Guidelines for control of rail related noise and vibration (October 1995 and November 2003);


4.


New South Wales Department of Planning - Development near Rail Corridors and Busy Roads - Interim Guideline 2008; and


5.

German Standard DIN 4150 Part 3 1999 and British Standard BS 7385 Part 2 1993 - risk of vibration damage to structures (buildings);


as well as measurements of vibration for:

-    machine condition monitoring; and
-    investigation of structure-borne noise.

 


We carry out our vibration measurements with
Class 1:

1. Brüel & Kjær (B&K) Modular Precision Real-Time Sound and Vibration Analyzers type 2260 Investigator, with: Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) Software BZ7208 (narrow-band spectrum from 0.1 Hz, with resolution better than 0.5 Hz); and


2.
Svantek Four-channel Real-Time Sound and Vibration Analysers type Svan 958, in octave and -octave band spectra, and in narrow-band (FFT) spectra with up to 1920 lines.
