The
National Professional Engineers Register (NPER) is the main vehicle for the
registration of professional engineers in Australia.
It is widely recognized
by Local Authorities and some State and Territory Governments and it has
been included
in regulations
relating
to the design, certification, health and safety of
buildings and building services.
The requisite qualification for NPER is a four-year engineering qualification accredited by Engineers Australia or equivalent.
Applicants must also demonstrate that they are practicing competently in the
area of practice where they are applying for
registration.
