PISTON SOLID/LIQUID SEPARATION DEVICE (PSD)

[Australian and UK patent]

The PSD is a compact system for :
(a) water and wastewater treatment and
(b) dewatering of sludge.

While there are many large-scale processes/plants available for water treatment (treatment of water for drinking and industrial purposes, or treatment of trade wastewater), there are no practical or economic water treatment processes/plants for many smaller businesses to install and use.

The PSD provides a low cost and effective batch treatment of small to medium volumes of contaminated liquids, viz. 0.5 to 4m3/h (up to 100m3/day) of liquids per a device.

Applications include the treatment of wastewater from printing workshops, detergent manufacturers, metal plasma cutting operations, electroplating plants, small poultry farms, piggeries and abattoirs.
